A Friendly Cuppa Could Change Her Day

In a quiet home in Bankstown, a lovely elderly lady spends her days longing for simple companionship. The house is tidy, the kettle is ready, but whatâs truly missing is someone to share a warm smile and a heartfelt conversation.

She would love a friendly volunteer to pop in for a cuppa and a chat, to talk about life, memories, and faith. She is Catholic, and her heart would be especially comforted by someone who could pray with her or read the Bible together.

Loneliness can be heavy, but a kind visitâeven a short oneâcould bring light, comfort, and connection. Your presence could turn an ordinary day into something she looks forward to.

- When: Friday, 9:00am â 11:00m (for 30 minute to an hour visits, weekly or fortnightly)

- Where: Bankstown (in her own home)

- If you have a gentle nature, a listening ear, and an open heart, this simple act of kindness could mean more than words can say.

Sometimes, companionship is the greatest gift of all.

Your impact

Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

18 years or older â¢ National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare â¢
