MSS Security is seeking suitably experienced personnel who are looking to further develop their leadership capabilities within one of MSS Security’s high-profile sites.

As a Court Security Supervisor, you will play a crucial leadership role in the delivery of security services and daily security operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Through effective leadership you will foster a culture of professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement amongst your team of security officers.

• Monitor and manage courtroom security during hearings, ensuring a secure environment within the Magistrates Court.

• Ensure all procedures and protocols are followed in line with MSS Security and client expectations.

• Respond to and manage security incidents, emergencies, and critical events.

• Liaise professionally with Magistrates Court staff, stakeholders, and visitors.

• Screen individuals entering the court building and ensure all security protocols are followed.

• Respond promptly and appropriately to incidents involving disruptive or aggressive behaviour.

• Work collaboratively with court staff and law enforcement to manage high-risk situations.

Ideal candidates will have:

• Prior experience in security, law enforcement or correctional facilities preferably in a high-profile or government environment.

• Proven leadership skills with the ability to supervise, drive and mentor team members.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment.

• A professional approach and high standards of personal presentation.

Requirements:

• Full Australian working rights.

• Valid Tasmanian Security licence.

• Valid First Aid and CPR certificates.

• Working With Vulnerable People (or willing to obtain).

• Willing to undergo and pass a National Criminal History check.
