Site Supervisor

Gamuda Engineering is a reputable Engineering and Construction contractor that specialises in the design, construction, operation and maintenance of Transport, Civil and Energy Infrastructure projects.

As part of Gamuda’s commitment to expansion, Gamuda Engineering has established offices in Sydney and Brisbane to pursue and deliver a variety of construction projects. We are currently delivering the Sydney Metro West - Western Tunnelling Package and in joint venture partnerships delivering both the $1.35B Coffs Harbour Bypass and the $1bn M1 Motorway Extension Southern Package. 

We have also recently been awarded a significant Sydney Water 10km pipeline upgrade project in Joint Venture in Sydney’s northern suburbs commencing early in the New Year. The project scope includes a mix of open trenching and trenchless methods to minimise community and environmental impact.

The role

As a site supervisor reporting to the superintendent you will be responsible for safe and efficient delivery of construction activities on site. Key responsibilities will include:

• Manage and coordinate construction project activities of subcontract and direct workforce.


• Assist in in work program planning and monitor the site work progress by allocating appropriate resources or manpower.


• Ensure quality and required specifications are adhered to in completed works.


• Maintain accurate records of work activities and progress, incidents and issues.


• Ensure all environmental regulations and standards are met.


• Contribute to safety culture and performance on-site.
   

Your skills and experience

• Proven experience in Site Supervision of civil infrastructure projects, specific experience with pipelines and utilities would be advantageous.


• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate as part of a supportive high-performing team.


• Strong understanding of programme management and scheduling, meeting deadlines, and working to budgets.


• Ability to drive a positive Safety culture and compliance.
