With a systems integration client to find an experienced SOE Engineer to support enterprise endpoint environments within a secure, structured setting. This role is focused on building, deploying, and maintaining Standard Operating Environments using modern automation and configuration tooling. It will suit someone with strong technical capability who thrives in security-conscious environments where standardisation and consistency matter.

The client operates within a systems integration services environment, delivering secure, enterprise-scale technology solutions across government and highly regulated sectors. There's a strong emphasis on standardisation, automation, and security across complex infrastructure.
What you'll be doing
Design, build, and maintain Standard Operating Environment (SOE) images
Deploy operating systems, software, and updates across enterprise endpoints using MECM/SCCM
Automate image creation and system configuration using Packer and Ansible
Manage patching, upgrades, and endpoint compliance activities
Support secure environment requirements, adhering to relevant standards and policies
Troubleshoot deployment and configuration issues across large-scale environments
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent and reliable endpoint performance
Strong experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM/SCCM)
Proven capability in software deployment, patching, and OS imaging
Experience using Packer for building machine images
Experience with Ansible for configuration management and automation
Background working in secure enterprise or government environments
Active NV1 security clearance (or ability to obtain NV2)
Approximately 5 years' relevant industry experience
Desirable Skills
Scripting experience (e.g. PowerShell, Python)
Knowledge of endpoint security and compliance requirements
Experience working with Windows environments
Familiarity with G02/EIE or similar security standards
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
$700–$750/day + super (depending on experience)
Initial 6 month contract with view to extend
Work on secure, enterprise-scale environments with modern tooling
