Solution Architect - Banking

DWS is seeking a Solutions Architect with demonstrated prior experience in banking or financial services environments to join a high-performing team supporting a leading Australian financial services organisation. This is a business-facing role and banking experience is essential , requiring strong engagement with senior stakeholders and the ability to translate complex business needs into well-architected, scalable technology solutions aligned to enterprise strategy and target-state architecture

What you'll be doing:

• Engage with business stakeholders to elicit, clarify and shape requirements within banking contexts
• Translate requirements into end-to-end solution architectures aligned to target-state platforms
• Provide solution recommendations leveraging enterprise banking platforms, standards and roadmaps
• Act as a bridge between business and technology, ensuring alignment and delivery feasibility
• Drive solutions from concept through to implementation with minimal supervision
• Collaborate with engineering, platform and delivery teams to ensure execution success
• Contribute to architectural governance and adherence to enterprise standards

What you'll bring:

• Proven experience operating as a Solutions Architect in banking or financial services environments
• Strong cloud architecture capability across AWS, Azure and/or GCP
• Deep understanding of enterprise and banking architecture frameworks, patterns and best practices
• Ability to translate business and regulatory needs into practical, scalable solutions
• Strong stakeholder engagement, communication and influencing skills
• A self-driven mindset with confidence operating in complex, regulated environments

Nice to have:

• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise transformation programs
• Familiarity with large Australian banking platforms or architectures
