Special Class Welder IRATA

The Opportunity
Downer's Energy & Utilities business is seeking experienced Special Class Welders with Rope Access for FIFO shutdown projects based in Port Hedland, WA, with opportunities to contribute to future projects and outages across our portfolio.

Working within a fixed plant shutdown environment, you will bring your expertise in rope access welding to help deliver safe, high-quality maintenance outcomes. We have multiple shutdown opportunities available, with varied project schedules throughout the year.

Location: FIFO Perth to Port Hedland
Employment Type: Casual

What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Australian recognised Trade Certificate
• Proven experience completing 3F and 4F welds
• Experience working in shutdown, mining, or heavy industrial environments
• Rope Access Welding experience with a current IRATA certification and logbook (all levels considered)
• Full Australian working rights
• Current: 
  • MSIC
  • White CardWorking at Heights, Confined Space Entry, Gas Test Atmospheres, Fire Training Certificate within 5 years 
• Strong commitment to safety and teamwork
• Well-developed communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a crew environment
