Specialist Family Violence Practitioner
Classification: SCHADS 5.1
Location: Noosaville & Caloundra, Sunshine Coast
Status: Part Time – 30.4 hours per week - participating in an on‑call roster
Make a real impact in the lives of women and children experiencing family violence
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Specialist Family Violence Practitioner to join our dedicated team across the Sunshine Coast region. This role provides both place‑based and outreach case management support to women, and women with children, who are experiencing or have experienced family violence. The role also encompasses the delivery of intake, assessment and crises response.
You will be mainly located in Noosaville, while also supporting service delivery from our Caloundra office as required
You will play a key role in delivering high‑quality, family violence and children’s wellbeing empowering responses that support safety, recovery, and long‑term wellbeing.

The Salvation Army (Salvos) provides a wide range of services that support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence. We offer accommodation, counselling, support, behavioural programs, and advice to women and children at risk of, experiencing or escaping family violence. Our services focus on prevention, restoration, and healing to provide specialised support to address immediate safety issues and provide advice, referrals, and connection to assist the recovery journey.
About the Role
As a practitioner, you will deliver intake, assessment, crisis response, and ongoing case management. Working from a feminist, empowerment‑based framework, you will support clients to increase safety, build stability, and connect with community resources.
