Your role at St John of God Accord
We are seeking to recruit a Speech Pathologist to join our high performing team at Greensborough, on a permanent full-time basis. Graduates encouraged to apply!
Our Speech Pathologists work alongside the multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical speech pathology services to clients/patients using evidence based clinical practice skills. You will ensure practice is in accordance with Professional Standards for Speech Pathology Australia and SJGHC policies and guidelines.
The Position
Assessment of patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders
Development of individual treatment and therapy programs (with long and short term goals)
Completes clinical documentation and undertakes administrative tasks as required. This may include communication of assessment results and therapy outcomes to the referring party and other parties involved in the patient’s management.
Actively prioritises own caseload including participating in relevant clinical review meetings and case conferences as appropriate.
Supports and liaises with patients, carers, colleagues, medical, nursing, allied health, support staff, external agencies and the private sector to provide coordinated
multidisciplinary care
Educate patients/carers in assessment, treatment and post discharge management and organise discharge summaries/referrals to other services, as appropriate
Promotes professional values and ethics in clinical practice and participates in ongoing evaluation of clinical practice.
Participates in evidence based clinical research activities where required.
As relevant, supervises and supports Allied Health Assistants and students to deliver effective services as per the Speech Pathology Australia recommendations.
The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and current full membership with Speech Pathology Australia, demonstrated knowledge and skills in assessment, treatment and evaluation within Speech Pathology practice, and able to work effectively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
Successful applicants must hold a valid First Aid & CPR certificate, current Victorian Drivers License and NDIS Clearance.

Salary: $72,992 to $117,553 plus 12% Superannuation
Permanent full-time, working 38 hours per week
