Sports Business Manager VIC/TAS/SA

About the role

As Sports Business Manager, you will drive the growth of Beiersdorf's Elastoplast and Leuko Sports business across Victoria, Tasmania, and South Australia. Partnering with sporting clubs, sports medicine wholesalers, and healthcare professionals, you'll build strong customer relationships, win new business opportunities, expand distribution, and bring our Sports Professionals marketing strategy to life.

Key responsibilities

• Drive sales and trade investment value, negotiate sporting contracts to get the best return on funds invested, and run promotional programs across wholesaler and contract accounts to hit budget


• Win new business and distribution


• Present new products to all customers and sports medicine wholesalers


• Seek distribution gains across the Sports range and review account grading


• Build annual promotional plans for state wholesaler accounts and evaluate what works


• Make sure direct wholesalers back each promotion and keep marketing funds within budget and sponsorship claims paid promptly


• Follow the annual state call plan, set an objective for every call and focus on high-potential clients


• Use sales data to target accounts and keep customer records accurate


• Run compliance checks with contracted customers and host taping nights and in-services for sports trainers and practitioners


• Forecast accurately, support account and product forecasts, and negotiate trading terms within guidelines

About you

• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Sports Management, Health Sciences, or a related field are advantageous, along with demonstrated success in a sales or account management role.


• Experience in the sports industry and/or a passion for sport


• Strong communication and presentation skills


• Strong negotiating skills


• Excellent organisational skills


• Ability to work in a team environment while being self-motivated


• Advanced computer skills
