State Manager - VIC

Your Role

As the leader of your state, you'll drive commercial performance, develop high-performing leaders and create exceptional guest experiences across a portfolio of boutiques and surplus stores. You'll foster a values-led culture and ensure every store consistently brings the Assembly Label brand to life. This full-time role is ideal for a commercially minded leader who is passionate about developing people, building meaningful connections and leading with purpose. Regular travel throughout your region is required.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership

• Lead, coach and develop, Cluster Managers, Retail Business Managers and Leaders.


• Build a high-performance culture centred on accountability, development and engagement.


• Identify and develop future leaders through succession planning and coaching.


• Foster a positive, inclusive and values-led team culture.

Commercial Performance

• Deliver sales, profitability and wage outcomes across your region.


• Drive performance through strong execution of Conversion, IPT, ATV and guest experience.


• Analyse business performance and identify opportunities for growth.


• Ensure disciplined management of labour, productivity and operational costs.

Guest Experience

• Bring our Community Connections philosophy to life in every store.


• Coach teams to create meaningful guest experiences that build loyalty and advocacy.


• Lead through presence, observation and in-the-moment coaching.

Operations

• Ensure operational excellence across all locations.


• Partner closely with Head Office across Product, VM, Marketing, Operations and People & Culture.


• Lead new store openings, closures, refurbishments and business initiatives as required.
