The Supervisor – Economic Development and Investment Projects is responsible for delivering Council’s economic development priorities through funded projects, partnerships and strategic initiatives.
The role:
- Identifies and secures grant funding and investment opportunities
- Leads the delivery of economic development projects from concept to completion
- Provides economic analysis, insights and advice to inform decision-making
- Works collaboratively with industry, government and internal stakeholders to drive growth outcomes

Economic Development Delivery
- Deliver initiatives aligned to Council’s Economic Development Strategy
- Identify opportunities to grow:

- Proactively identify and secure:

Any other duties within the scope of the role as reasonably directed.
Essential Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Tertiary qualifications in Economics, Business, Commerce, Regional Development or related field
- Demonstrated experience in:
- Economic development
- Grants and funding acquisition
- Project management
- Strong analytical capability and ability to interpret economic data
- Experience preparing funding submissions and business cases
- Strong stakeholder engagement and partnership skills
- High-level written communication (reports, strategies, submissions)
- Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
Highly regarded but not essential Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- Experience in regional economic development or local government
- Experience in investment attraction or industry development
- Strong knowledge of:
- State and Federal funding programs
- Tourism and visitor economy drivers
- Project management qualifications or certification
