Clermont Open Cut is currently seeking an experienced Mine Surveyor to support our Technical Services Team on site. Located on the western edge of the Bowen Basin, Clermont Open Cut is a high performing truck & shovel operation that produces 12 million tonnes of coal per annum. Clermont Open Cut Operation is a safe, dynamic, and inclusive workplace focused on delivering high performance outcomes.  The role which reports to the Technical Services Superintendent, will offer variety and opportunity to the right individual.

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Assisting with the safe provision of surveying support to a range of activities typical to a large coal mining operation. 

• Providing support for production, statutory plans, and civil and structural projects. .

• As part of the Technical Services Department and reporting to the Senior Mine Surveyor, you will also be required to work in a team with other professionals and contribute to the timely provision of end of month volumes. 

Requirements of the role include:

• Seeking/undertaking tertiary qualifications in Surveying or significant industry experience

• Proficient user of Microsoft Microsoft Excel, Deswik,  Agisoft Metashape, Point Studio, DJI Terra, Global Mapper and ArcGIS highly desirable.

• Proficiency in using Maptek Isite Scanners, Leica Total stations and GPS

• Remote pilot licence with AROC certification RPA/UAV and experience with multi-rotor DJI 350, Mavic 4, and VTOL Griffin Pro.

• Highly motivated, have a strong work ethic and demonstrate safe work behaviour

• Previous open cut mining experience
