Technology lead

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support
  applications/scripts in a UNIX/Linux environment
  
• Write efficient, optimized SQL queries for
  data extraction, transformation, and reporting
  
• Perform database tuning, query
  optimization, and performance analysis
  
• Automate routine tasks using shell
  scripting (Bash/KornShell)
  
• Monitor batch jobs and troubleshoot
  production issues
  
• Work closely with application teams, DBAs,
  and business stakeholders
  
• Manage file processing, job scheduling,
  and system -level configurations
  
• Ensure data integrity, security, and
  compliance standards
  
• Participate in code reviews and deployment
  processes
  

in Agile/Scrum teams Required Skills

UNIX/Linux

• Strong command -line proficiency
  
• Shell scripting (Bash / KornShell)
  
• Experience with cron jobs, file system
  management, process handling
  

SQL / Database

• Strong SQL skills (joins, subqueries,
  indexing, stored procedures)
  
• Experience with databases like Oracle,
  MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server
  
• Query tuning and performance
  optimization
  

Other Technical Skills

• Knowledge of ETL processes and data
  workflows
  
• Experience with scheduling tools (AutoSys,
  Control -M, etc.)
  
• Basic understanding of data warehousing
  concepts
  
• Familiarity with version control systems
  (Git, SVN)
  

Preferred Skills

• Experience in production support
  environments
  
• Exposure to Python or Perl
