Job Description - Treasury Dealer

About the Role

As a Treasury Dealer within Group Finance, you will support the development and growth of BOQ Group’s Money Market deposit portfolio across direct dealing, brokered and wealth platform channels. This is a service-focused role where you will assist in delivering competitive deposit pricing, supporting onboarding and KYC requirements, and helping to meet deposit growth and cost of funds targets across corporate, wholesale, retail and intermediated customer segments.

Working closely with Senior Dealers, Senior Managers and the Head of Money Market, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the Treasury Money Market desk. Your responsibilities will include preparing and distributing daily pricing, negotiating deposit rates for larger customers through retail and business channels, accurately booking deposits in Treasury systems, and liaising with Operations to ensure timely settlement of deals. You will also support internal stakeholders across Treasury, Retail Banking, Business Banking, Product, Investor Relations, Operations and Risk.

This role provides a strong foundation for building a career in Treasury markets, with opportunities to progressively develop into a customer-facing position. Over time, you will support senior leaders in managing key customer relationships, engaging with existing and prospective clients, and contributing to an optimal deposit portfolio mix that balances growth, funding cost and customer diversification.

About You

You hold a bachelor’s degree in business, commerce, finance, economics or a related discipline, and bring a strong interest in financial markets and the banking industry. You communicate clearly and professionally, build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders, and take a customer‑focused approach to your work. With strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset, you are comfortable supporting pricing, onboarding and administrative processes within a Treasury or financial services environment.

You are enthusiastic, adaptable and keen to build a long‑term career in Treasury markets. You bring developing negotiation skills, are confident working with spreadsheets and systems, and thrive in a fast‑paced, collaborative dealing desk environment. Importantly, you are committed to ongoing professional development and are willing to obtain AFMA accreditation and RG146 compliance within 12 months, positioning yourself to grow into a broader customer‑facing Treasury role over time.
