Truck Driver/Trade Team Member

Our Mitre 10 team in Portland is on the lookout for a reliable, energetic team player to join our Trade Yard in a dual role working across both the Trade Yard and truck deliveries to our customers.

This is a casual part-time role offering 30+ hours per week across Monday to Sunday (with the potential to move to full-time for the right candidate).

This role would suit someone who enjoys physical work, variety in their day, and helping tradies and builders get what they need, fast. You'll be doing everything from picking and packing orders, loading trucks, operating a forklift, delivering goods to customers, and keeping the yard running smoothly and looking its best.

What you'll be doing

• Deliver goods to customers safely and efficiently


• Complete deliveries accurately and on time, with a strong focus on customer service


• Provide exceptional service at the trade counter and in the yard


• Load and unload trucks with timber and building materials (heavy lifting required)


• Pick and pack orders for delivery


• Assist tradies and DIY customers in the yard, ensuring fast and efficient service


• Replenish stock and maintain a clean, safe and organised work area

What we're looking for

• Current forklift licence


• Experience operating a Hiab (truck-mounted crane) is advantageous


• A strong work ethic and a can-do attitude


• Comfortable using computers, including Microsoft Outlook and Excel


• Timber and hardware knowledge is desirable, but we are happy to train the right person


• Availability to work a flexible roster across Monday to Sunday


• A safety-focused mindset and commitment to following all WHS requirements
