About the Role  

As an experienced Underground Electrician, be responsible for electrical diagnosis, repair, test and servicing of site electrical and electronic systems.

Responsibilities  
 

• 
  

  Inspect, service, and maintain electrical and electronic equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.  

  
  

• 
  

  Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and minimise downtime through effective troubleshooting and repair.  

  
  

• 
  

  Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance activities in accordance with maintenance schedules and site requirements.  

  
  

• 
  

  Perform testing and commissioning of electrical equipment to ensure compliance with statutory and operational standards.  

  
  

• 
  

  Maintain and troubleshoot underground electrical infrastructure, including power distribution systems, switchgear, and associated equipment.  

  
  

• 
  

  Undertake electrical isolations and switching activities in accordance with site procedures and authorisations.  

  
  

• 
  

  Ensure all work is completed in compliance with WA electrical legislation, mining regulations, site procedures, and relevant Australian Standards. 

  
  

What You’ll Bring 
 

• 
  

  Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar electrical maintenance role.  

  
  

• 
  

  Experience working in an underground mining environment. 

  
  

• 
  

  Current and unrestricted WA Electrical Worker’s Licence. 

  
  

• 
  

  Current Low Voltage Rescue (LVR) and CPR certification. 

  
  

• 
  

  Valid manual (C class) Australian drivers licence. 

  
  

• 
  

  High Voltage (HV) Switching experience or accreditation (highly desirable).  

  
  

• 
  

  Current Working at Heights, Dangerous Goods Security Card, and First Aid Certificate (highly desirable).
