About the Role 

We are seeking a skilled Underground Electrician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for carrying out a broad range of electrical installation, maintenance, and repair activities across both surface and underground operations. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to a high-performing team in a dynamic mining environment.

  Key Responsibilities 

• Perform workplace inspections, fault finding, testing, and pre-start checks to ensure equipment is safe, compliant, and operating efficiently.
• Carry out all electrical work in accordance with statutory requirements, technical standards, site procedures, and industry best practice.
• Provide guidance and supervision to Trades Assistants and Apprentices while maintaining high-quality workmanship.
• Complete required documentation, including shift reports, JSAs, Safe Stops, and promptly report incidents, hazards, accidents, and near misses.
• Actively participate in pre-starts, toolbox talks, safety meetings, and other operational meetings to promote a strong safety culture and effective communication.

About You: 

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

• Extensive experience in electrical installation, maintenance, and fault finding within an underground mining environment.
• Current WA Electrical Licence, Low Voltage Switchboard Rescue and First Aid & CPR.
• Demonstrated experience with high-voltage electrical systems and underground mining equipment.
• Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent planning, organisation, and time management skills with the ability to prioritise and complete work safely and efficiently.
