Key responsibilities?

As and Energy Underwriter, you'll contribute to the growth and profitability of the Energy product line through marketing, underwriting and helping to manage a diverse portfolio of risks. You'll work on Onshore Oil & Gas, Power Generation and Renewable Energy accounts. Some risks may require special handling or unusual coverage. Your technical expertise and commercial acumen will be central to delivering market-leading solutions and maintain Liberty's reputation as a technical insurer. Your core responsibilities will include:

• Building strong broker and client relationships to champion the Liberty brand and facilitate the marketing and sale of our products
• Reviewing, rating and underwriting target new and renewal business in line with Liberty's quality selection and adequate pricing discipline
• Developing and executing selling and negotiation strategies to ensure contribution to the profitability of the product line.
• Delivering exceptional underwriting service that differentiates Liberty from its competitors.
• Ensuring timely premium payments and resolving discrepancies in collaboration with Finance.
• Collaborating with other product line Underwriters to leverage cross-selling opportunities and deliver comprehensive solutions.
• Contributing to product development and marketing plans through market research, competitor analysis, product design and geographic/segment focus.
• Representing Liberty at industry events, conferences and client and market presentations
• Providing input into the financial and strategic planning for the Energy product line.

About you

• Relevant experience in Energy, Property or Construction sector.
• Strong technical and analytical skills with commercial judgement
• Confidence engaging with brokers, clients and internal stakeholders
• Well-developed communications and negotiation skills
• A proactive, results-focused mindset with strong prioritization skills
• Business, financial and market acumen awareness/understanding
