VETERINARY NURSE – BYRON BAY!

MyVet Byron Bay is the only small animal vet clinic based in our beautiful town, surrounded by beautiful beaches, natural hinterland, the café lifestyle and an evolving community of pet lovers.  We are a small friendly team, dedicated to providing professional and compassionate services to our devoted clients and patients.

Due to growth of the business, we invite applications from experienced vet nurses for a permanent part time position involving 22 hours per week plus one in four Saturdays 830-1230pm. We may have additional hours to also offer, if you’re available.

About The Role 

• Provide exceptional customer care and education to our clients
• Support our Vets with routine examinations, diagnostics and procedures
• Manage the admission and discharge of surgical and hospital cases
• Provide surgical and hospital nursing including monitoring anaesthetics
• Conduct blood collection and testing, iv catheter placement
• Prepare and administer medications as required
• Assist with x-rays, ultrasounds and dental procedures
• Maintain surgical and treatment areas infection control
• Provide pre and post compassionate care to hospitalised cases
• General day to day nursing duties.

About You 

• Cert IV Veterinary Nurse, with minimum two years experience post cert.
• Available to work 3 - 4 days per week, plus one Saturday a month
• A warm natural style that enjoys caring for animals
• Good sense of urgency, attention to detail and communication skills
• Ezyvet experience desired but not essential
