About Our Clinic

Located in the heart of Gawler, close to Gawler Central, our clinic has built a strong reputation for compassionate care and exceptional client service.

We're open:

• Monday to Friday: 8:30am - 6:00pm
• Saturday: 8:30am - 12:00pm

About the Role

As a Casual Veterinary Nurse, you'll play an important role in supporting both our patients and our veterinarians while helping ensure the smooth running of the clinic.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting veterinarians during consultations, diagnostics, and treatments
• Preparing patients for surgery and assisting in theatre
• Monitoring anaesthesia and supporting patient recovery
• Administering medications and treatments
• Collecting pathology samples and performing diagnostic testing
• Providing nursing care for hospitalised patients
• Maintaining accurate patient records
• Educating and supporting clients with their pets' healthcare needs
• Assisting with reception and client enquiries when required
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness and infection control

This role offers a varied caseload and the opportunity to utilise your nursing skills across all aspects of a busy general practice.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Holds a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent qualification)
• Has previous clinical veterinary nursing experience
• Demonstrates excellent animal handling and patient care skills
• Is confident supporting both medical and surgical cases
• Has strong communication and customer service skills
• Works well independently and as part of a team
• Is reliable, compassionate, and organised
• Enjoys building strong relationships with clients and colleagues
• Brings a positive attitude and a willingness to help wherever needed
