4 Paws Vet is a busy, well-established veterinary practice conveniently located on Sydney’s Lower North Shore. We’ve been proudly caring for the pets of the Neutral Bay community for over 25 years, from our purpose-built hospital.

We’re growing and evolving, and we’re looking for an experienced Veterinary Nurse to join our enthusiastic, friendly and supportive team.

If you have 3+ years’ nursing experience and are ready to take the next step in your career, this could be the opportunity you’ve been looking for. There is also an exciting opportunity to develop your Practice Management skills, as we actively invest in our team, encourage upskilling and support career progression and succession planning.

What you’ll be doing

Your days will be varied, hands-on and rewarding, including:

  • Providing high-quality nursing care across surgical and hospital nursing, including pre- and post-operative care
  • Performing in-house pathology, dental procedures and radiology
  • Building great relationships with our clients through nurse consultations, admissions and discharges, with occasional reception support
  • Supporting our Head Nurse with the day-to-day running of the nursing team and hospital workflow
  • Helping to mentor and support junior team members and workplace students
  • Confidently handling cats, particularly important as we are proud to hold Silver ISFM accreditation

Who we’re looking for

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • An experienced Veterinary Nurse with 3+ years’ experience
  • Positive, enthusiastic and a genuine team player
  • Calm and professional, even when things get busy
  • Confident and highly skilled in client communication
  • Passionate about excellent patient care
  • Keen to learn, grow and take on new responsibilities
