Warehouse Supervisor

The role

As the Warehouse Supervisor for the Hume, ACT site, you will: 

• Establish systems and processes to develop site performance
  


• Manage site costs across the warehousing, transport and yard operations
  


• Plan and forecast stock and inventory levels to meet customer demands
  


• Review and analyse branch costs and make recommendations for business improvements
  


• Lead a small warehouse team to achieve DIFOT target and SLA's
  


• Introduce ‘Best Practice’ warehouse and site management systems that optimise stock movement, warehouse workflow and warehouse layout
  


• Review, plan and manage labour and casual workforce needs
  


• Manage and promote company QA and WHS
  


• Work with the National Supply Chain Manager to coordinate and manage stock transfers across Australia
  

Requirements

The requirements

To be successful in the role, you must have proven experience as a Warehouse Supervisor, preferably working for a commercial organisation in the construction or industrial services sector. You will have:

• Exceptional people leadership and business management skills
  


• Strong decision-making capability with the ability to manage operating costs and staff performance
  


• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills
  


• Experience introducing and delivering continuous improvement initiatives
  


• Professional qualifications in Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Logistics or Warehouse Management, and forklift licence will be highly regarded
