The Department of Parliamentary Services (DPS) is recruiting for a Parliamentary Service Level 6 West Block Building Manager within Planning and Quality.
The West Block Building Manager sits within the Planning and Quality Branch, supporting the effective operation of West Block and broader accommodation services across the parliamentary precinct. You will manage the day‑to‑day running of West Block, respond to building enquiries, coordinate works, and ensure all activity aligns with the West Block Site Handbook and sustainability requirements.
You will work closely with the contracted Facilities Management team to maintain and improve key operational plans and procedures, including emergency management, asset and maintenance planning, and sustainability reporting. The role also supports accommodation services for Australian Parliament House, including furniture management, minor projects, and full lifecycle management of accommodation assets.
This position offers a unique chance to take ownership of a historically significant building and contribute directly to the smooth functioning of a diverse and high‑profile operational environment.
We are seeking a motivated and experienced professional with strong building or facilities management capability and practical experience. The candidate must be willing to be contactable out of hours to respond to urgent building issues and undertake some manual handling work. Our ideal candidate will demonstrate:

Currently, the salary range for this position is $101,168 - 113,706 per annum.
