A warm cuppa, a friendly chat, and moments that truly matter. 







In the heart of the community, a gentle soul living with limited mobility would greatly value the comfort of regular companionship at home. Having recently lost her husband of many years, life has become quieter, and the simple presence of someone kind and understanding can make all the difference.







Time spent together is relaxed and meaningful—sharing a cuppa, chatting about everyday life, and creating a space where conversation flows naturally. There is a love for creativity and calm pastimes, from knitting and crocheting to embroidery, painting, reading, and puzzles—interests that can be enjoyed side by side or simply spoken about with warmth and curiosity.







This is a gentle, home-based visiting role centred on connection, kindness, and bringing a sense of comfort and companionship into someone’s week. It’s about being present, listening, and sharing small moments that help ease loneliness and brighten the day.







For those who enjoy quiet conversation, creative interests, and making a heartfelt difference, this is a beautiful opportunity to give back in a truly meaningful way.

HammondCare 

HammondCare is an independent Christian charity and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare. 

HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government and is established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community.

Requirements



18 years or older • National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare •














We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 5pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
