Workday Functional Consultant

We’re looking for a Workday Functional HCM Consultant with hands -on implementation experience who can contribute to client delivery across Workday HCM projects. You’ll work as part of a project team supporting end -to -end Workday implementations, enhancements, and post -production support.

This role is suited for someone who is confident working in configuration and testing, understands HR processes, and can operate with some independence while still being guided by senior team members on complex design and delivery decisions.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of Workday HCM implementation and enhancement projects across the full project lifecycle
  
• Configure Workday HCM modules based on documented requirements and functional designs
  
• Work with clients and internal teams to gather requirements and translate them into system configuration
  
• Participate in system testing activities including unit testing, system integration testing, and UAT support
  
• Assist in resolving functional issues, defects, and configuration -related problems during implementation
  
• Collaborate with cross -functional teams (functional, technical, offshore) to ensure alignment and delivery progress
  
• Support data migration, cutover, and post -go -live activities as required
  
• Document functional designs, configuration details, and testing outcomes
  
• Provide input into process improvements and best practice adoption within Workday
  
• Support knowledge transfer sessions and end -user training where required
  
• Work within defined project plans, escalating risks and issues appropriately
  

Requirements

Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology, HR, Business, or related field
  
• Approximately 3–6 years of Workday experience, including at least 1–2 implementation projects
  
• Workday Certification in HCM or related modules (required or in progress)
  
• Strong understanding of core HR processes across the employee lifecycle (hire to retire)
  
• Hands -on experience with Workday configuration and testing activities
  
• Exposure to Workday implementation methodology and project lifecycle phases
  
• Ability to work effectively in client -facing project environments
  
• Strong analytical and problem -solving skills with a structured approach
  
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in teams
  
• Experience supporting testing cycles, data loads, and deployment activities
