Workplace Relations Advisor

2-Month Day Rate Contract | $875 per day inclusive of super

At Medibank, we're committed to creating the best health and wellbeing for Australia. To help us continue delivering exceptional experiences for our people, we're looking for an experienced Workplace Relations Advisor to join our People, Spaces & Sustainability team on a short-term contract basis.

This is an opportunity for a workplace relations professional who can hit the ground running, providing pragmatic and commercially focused advice across a broad range of employee and industrial relations matters. You'll partner with People teams, business leaders and key stakeholders to navigate complex workplace issues while helping us maintain a positive employee experience.

What you'll be doing

• Providing expert workplace and industrial relations advice to leaders, People Partners and key stakeholders.


• Supporting complex employee relations matters including investigations, conduct management and workplace disputes.


• Interpreting enterprise agreements, awards and employment legislation to provide practical guidance.


• Advising on organisational change activities, restructures and workforce-related risk.


• Supporting policy review and development across a range of employee-related topics.


• Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders and, where required, external parties including unions and regulatory bodies.


• Contributing to workplace relations projects and helping ensure Medibank continues to meet its compliance obligations.
  
  

What we're looking for

You'll bring demonstrated experience in workplace or industrial relations and be confident operating in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same.

Ideally, you'll have:

• Experience managing employee relations matters, investigations and conduct issues.


• Strong knowledge of workplace legislation, awards and enterprise agreements.


• Experience providing advice to leaders, People teams and payroll stakeholders.


• Exposure to union engagement and industrial relations matters.


• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.


• The ability to balance risk, compliance and commercial outcomes.


• Experience reviewing or developing workplace policies and procedures.
  
  

Experience within a People Partnering role with strong employee and industrial relations exposure will also be highly regarded. We're open to candidates from both large and smaller organisations, provided you can demonstrate broad hands-on experience across workplace relations matters
