About the Role
As the Workshop Technician, you will be part of our Technical and Customer Services team, based in our Braeside workshop and warehouse, helping keep our electric utility vehicles moving for customers, dealers and fleet operators.
This is a hands-on role for someone with solid workshop experience who enjoys figuring out how things work, solving problems and getting stuck in. We’re looking for someone who can confidently work autonomously, diagnose issues and make sound decisions without needing a lot of direction, while also knowing when to pull others in.
As our Workshop Technician, you’ll assemble, PDI, service, diagnose, repair and maintain electric bikes, batteries and fleet vehicles. You’ll work across mechanical, DC electrical and electronic systems, prepare vehicles for customers, investigate faults and warranty issues, and occasionally head out on-site to support our customers and fleets.
You don’t need to come in knowing everything about UBCO or electric vehicles. You do need a solid technical foundation, good problem-solving skills and the confidence to take ownership of your work through to completion.
It’s a physical, hands-on role, so you’ll spend most of your day on your feet working with bikes, tools, components and equipment.
Because we’re a small team, you won’t be boxed into one narrow area. You’ll work alongside Customer Services, Operations, Warehouse and Engineering and pitch in where needed.
NOTE: We’re keen to get someone great into this role and are running a two-week advertising period, so if this sounds like you, we’d encourage you to get your application in early.
