About the Role


Grampians Health is offering BPT1 HMO positions for the 2027 clinical year. BPT1 positions are suitable for applicants that intend on enrolling in the Basic Physician Training (BPT) program with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RACP).


Grampians Health is recognised as a Level II teaching hospital by the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, offering up to 24 months of accredited Basic Physician Training within our rotations. We are a member of the Greater Western BPT Consortium providing trainees with broad education opportunities and strong links to metropolitan centres.  Our BPT1 positions are fully accredited and in line with the National Framework for Pre-Vocational Trainees (NFPMT), making them suitable for PGY2 applicants.


We offer a comprehensive and well-structured education program, and Grampians Health is affiliated with University of Melbourne and Deakin University. Trainees have opportunities to contribute to medical student teaching and academic activities.


 


Successful applicants will complete rotations selected from the following terms:



  • General Medicine

  • Renal

  • Oncology

  • Haematology

  • Neurology

  • Cardiology

  • Palliative Care

  • Rehab

  • Geriatrics

  • Hospital in the Home (HITH)

  • Relief

  • Respiratory

  • Infectious Diseases


 


Research opportunities
