IT Asset Administrator

We are seeking an IT Asset Administrator to join our IT Operations team in an entry-level, hands-on role. This position is ideal for someone starting their career and looking to develop skills in IT Asset Mnaagement (ITAM).

You will support the day-to-day administration of IT assets, including hardware, software, and procurement records, ensuring accurate data, strong controls, and smooth operational processes.

Full training and support will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate records of IT hardware and software assets across their lifecycle.
• update asset records in the IT asset management system / CMDB
• Assist with device onboarding, transfers, and offboarding activities.
• Support software and license tracking under guidance from senior team members.
• Raise and track IT purchase requests, purchase orders, and deliveries.
• Assist with stocktake, audits, and reporting activities.
• Respond to asset-related queries from IT, Finance, and business users.

Knowledge, Skills Experience

Essential

• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Good communication skills (written and verbal).
• Comfortable working with data, spreadsheets, and systems.
• A proactive, willing-to-learn attitude.
• Ability to follow processes and meet deadlines.

Desirable (but not required)

• Exposure to IT environments, service desks, or administration roles.
• Basic understanding of IT hardware (laptops, monitors, peripherals).
• Experience with Excel or similar tools.
• Interest in IT operations, asset management, or procurement.
