Role Overview:

The Structural Engineering Internship is an exciting opportunity for students or recent graduates to gain hands-on experience in the field of structural engineering. This internship is designed to provide practical exposure to ongoing projects, allowing interns to apply their academic knowledge to real-world challenges while working closely with our experienced engineering team onsite in Australia.

Role Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and analysis of structural components and systems.


• Perform calculations and assessments to ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards.


• Participate in site visits to observe construction processes and gather data.


• Prepare sketches and drawings using AutoCAD and other design software.


• Collaborate with team members to develop engineering solutions for various projects.


• Help conduct structural inspections and evaluations of existing structures.


• Support in the preparation of technical reports and documentation.


• Learn and apply principles of project management in real-world settings.


• Attend project meetings and contribute to discussions regarding project progress.


• Research and analyze materials and techniques used in structural engineering.


• Assist in project planning and scheduling to ensure timely delivery.


• Work with senior engineers to develop innovative designs tailored to client needs.


• Gain exposure to various phases of the engineering lifecycle from conception to completion.


• Adhere to safety protocols and regulations while working onsite.


• Engage with clients and stakeholders to understand their requirements and expectations.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.


• Strong understanding of engineering principles and mathematics.


• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar design software.


• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.


• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.


• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.


• Capable of managing multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.


• Basic knowledge of building codes and standards is an advantage.


• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.


• Prior internship or project experience in engineering is a plus.
