This position differs from most primary care clinics offering same day acute appointments, longer appointment times, and smaller patient sizes which allow our providers to build meaningful relationships with their patients. This is not a traditional fee for service practice.  All services provided at QuikMed are offered at no cost to the patient which eliminates any billing, insurance verification, or prior authorization for services. Our clinics also offer onsite laboratory services and medication dispensing allowing our providers to serve most patient needs all in the clinic.

Primary Purpose of Job: Serve as a provider of clinical services within the scope of practice guidelines of the State Physician Assistant Practice Act. Create and maintain a positive environment for patients and colleagues at QuikMed. Care for patients under the direction of the Medical Director and in compliance with QuikMed philosophy as well as standards of practice and regulations of government agencies.

Position Responsibilities

1. Clinical Care and Customer Service
   
   
   
   1. Provide healthcare in collaboration with medical care team.
   
   
   2. Appropriately addresses patient requests for accommodations to facilitate accessible and inclusive care.
   
   
   3. Interview patients to obtain history, perform examinations, order labs and other tests/diagnostic procedures, prescribe medications and treatments.
   
   
   4. Manage cases according to established protocols.
   
   
   5. Maintain case histories, medical reports, and other records.
   
   
   6. Prepare treatment plans and patient education counseling.
   
   
   7. Perform other duties as requested by medical care team.
   
   
   8. Follow prescriptive protocols and state guidelines for Prescriptive and Distributing Authority as outlined by the local State Board of Medical Examiners.
   
   
   9. Provide consistent and efficient customer service using empathy, compassion, and good judgement.
   
   
   10. Comply with all HIPAA regulations to maintain patient’s rights to privacy by not discussing privileged information outside the work area and preserving the patient’s dignity at all times.

   1. Must maintain continuing education requirements, certifications, and licenses from the appropriate governing board (i.e. state and federal), if applicable.

   4. Understand, promote and operate by overall company vision and values, goals, objectives and strategies.
   
   
   5. Participate in the Disaster Recovery plan as required.

   7. Participate in training orientation and staff development programs.
   
   
   8. Works amicably with leadership team in providing appropriate feedback regarding all issues including patient care, clinical issues, facility issues, operational issues and staff issues.

Relationships

Inside the Company:                     All QuikMed personnel.

Outside the Company:                   Vendors, service providers, local Emergency Response personnel, and the general public.

Position Specifications 

1. Required education/license/certification:

1. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant Program and certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).


2. The employee shall be licensed and meet the requirements of the State Boards of Examiners in which QuikMed employs them; and be licensed to practice medicine without restrictions with the state in which QuikMed employs them.


3. Current DEA license or certification.


4. Valid state/government issued identification.


5. Must be able to meet QuikMed credentialing and privilege requirements.

1. 1 year of experience in a clinical setting in primary care

3. Desired experience:

1. 2 years of experience in a clinical setting in primary care

4. Required skills:   

1. People-oriented, highly organized, self-motivated, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Professional demeanor. Ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team. Ability to prioritize tasks.

Starting Salary: $111,980-$139,98
