Communications Specialist (all genders)

What you’ll do

• Partner with management, business units, or sales to leverage message
• Develops, enhances or revises marketing collateral for web, print or other media channels
• Participates in media placement decisions
• May work with outside agencies to build and execute a media strategy
• May function as editor for formal business communications
• May design and implement measurements to analyze messaging program effectiveness and quantify revenue generated from executed programs

Who we’re looking for

Minimum qualifications

• Completed education in the field of Business, Marketing or Communication 
• Minimum two years of experience in public relations, external communications, media relations, corporate communications, marketing communications or event support
• Native German speaker with professional working proficiency in English, spoken and written, with the ability to write and proofread press materials, announcement emails, short articles and briefing documents in both languages
• Demonstrated video editing ability, with a portfolio or work samples. Working knowledge of a standard editing suite and basic photo editing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams and Excel, and comfort working in English-language tool interfaces.
• On-site presence three days per week

 A valid work permit for Austria is required for this position. 

Preferred qualifications

• Experience supporting government visits, executive visits, corporate events or media activities
• Familiarity with the European/Austrian media landscape, local vendors and regional business communications
• Experience working with NGO or community partners on social impact or sponsorship programmes

What we're offering

This position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in the occupation group D-E depending on educational background. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills. The monthly salary is paid 14 times per year. 

The candidate will be hired through a third party agency.
