To strengthen our Technology and Product Development capability within the enabling technologies team, we are searching for an engineer with broad expertise in engine performance and combustion technologies, an open minded creative and self-motivated team player for our enabling technology team to develop cutting edge engine and heat pump concepts for all our actual and future applications.

Your Responsibilities:

• Engineering lead for various gas engine R&D projects focusing on new technologies. Define future engine concepts for all products with special focus on combustion technologies, performance and alternative fuels
• Compare different technologies in feasibility studies, set up business cases and define performance and combustion requirements
• Definition, coordination and execution of simulation and testing activities concerning new technologies and interpretation of the results. Close cooperation with the performance, emissions and controls teams and external research partners like LEC or similar. 
• Identify risks and mitigation actions for new technologies in an early stage of product development

Your Profile:

• Master Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent 
• More than 7 years of work experience in performance and combustion development for reciprocating engines
• Extensive experience in 1D performance modelling of reciprocating engines (GTPower or similar) and analysis of engine test data.
• 10% travel may be required
