We help Lam deliver industry-leading solutions with speed and efficiency, while actively supporting the resilient and profitable growth of Lam\u0027s business.\n\n## The impact you\u2019ll make\n\nAt Lam, as a Buyer, you play a pivotal role in our procurement process. You analyze purchase requirements and coordinate purchasing activities across departments to ensure timely and cost-effective acquisition of inventory. You\u0027ll support processing purchase requisitions as well as NPI (New Product Implementation), change orders, and quotes (RFQs) from suppliers. Engaging in cost analysis and volume planning within our enterprise-wide systems (ERPs), you negotiate for the best value and explore new supply sources for cost-saving. Your expertise ensures Lam\u0027s procurement remains efficient and competitive on a global scale. It is important for us to point out that this role is operative. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do\n\n * Review, analyze and process purchase requisitions\n * Process purchase change orders and requests for quotes to suppliers\n * Manage purchase order releases daily to meet demand requirements\n * Coordinate purchasing activities with manufacturing, planning and engineering departmentsto acquire inventory in a cost effective and timely manner\n * Work with the suppliers on a daily basis to assure scheduled deliveries are met\n * Understand, maintain weekly reports\n * Develop and maintain key supplier relationships with day-to-day interface (peer level) toreview open action items, suppliers performance to commitments of on time deliveries, future demand and future cost reductions forecasting\n\n\n\n## Who we\u2019re Looking For\n\n * Commercial education - e.g. apprenticeship (LAP) or HAK\n * Work experience in an industrial environment would be an asset but not a requirement\n * Very good MS Office skills\n * ERP/SAP skills preferred\n * Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and German\n\n\n\n## What we\u0027re offering\n\nThis position is subject to the Austrian Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) for Employees in the Metal Technology Industry in the occupation group D or E. A higher payment is negotiable depending on education, expertise and skills.
