Job Description: 

Senior Project Engineer positions offered by Tilcon New York Inc. (New City, New York). Assist in developing plans and executing strategy for short- and long-term sustainability of operations through land use planning, capital planning, and mine planning. Develop and maintain mine plans for all quarry operations.  Responsible for developing, budgeting, proposing, executing, and managing capital projects for both quarry and asphalt operations. Provide onsite project management oversight when capital projects are ready for field execution. Lead physical inventory evaluations using drone technology across all operations. Evaluate reserves and coordinate permitting activities.

Minimum Requirements: 

• Requires a bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Mining Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related field.


• Must have 1 year of experience in each of the following:
  
  
  
  • Working in the aggregate or mining field;
  
  
  • Working in MSHA regulated facilities;
  
  
  • Utilizing AutoCAD, Carlson Mining, Carlson GPS, or Talpac for site planning and preparation;
  
  
  • Leading and developing a team to ensure high performance and clear accountability;
  
  
  • Working with blast design, blast analysis, and blast quality control; and
  
  
  • Working with aggregate equipment operation and maintenance
  
  
  
  


• Must have 6 months of experience in each of the following:
  
  
  
  • Establishing, developing, and monitoring mine plans;
  
  
  • Managing operational and capital projects in the mining, asphalt, or construction field, including developing preliminary plans;
  
  
  • Conducting cycle time analysis of mining operations;
  
  
  • Utilizing drone-based surveying platforms to assist with general site planning; and
  
  
  • Designing and optimizing aggregate plants with AggFlow.
  
  
  
  


• Experience may be acquired prior to completion of degre


• Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently.


• Position reports to New City, NY office.  Telecommuting permitted in accordance with company policy, but must live within commuting distance of stated office.

Compensation:

• We are offering a salary of $116,000 to $120,000 per year.
