Legal Counsel, Sales Market AT (m/f/d), part-time & limited contract

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

As a Legal Counsel, you will primarily support the business in matters related to civil law, with a particular focus on real estate and consumer law, while ensuring compliance with legal standards and supporting business decision-making across the Sales Market. You guide stakeholders on legal requirements, draft and review agreements, manage risks and contribute to strong governance practices. 

You will: 

• Negotiate, draft and review contracts and agreements, including lease agreements from a pro-business perspective with minimal risk exposure to H&M. 

• Conduct judicial enquiries, due diligence processes and identify legal risks and consequences. 

• Handle and settle disputes and legal matters. 

• Advise business stakeholders on real estate, leasing and consumer law matters, ensuring legal compliance while supporting commercial objectives. 

WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH 

You will work closely with Sales Market Leadership, Sales Market Controllers, Account Managers, Commercial and Expansion teams, as well as Global Legal. You will collaborate with decisionmakers across departments to ensure legal compliance, mitigate risks and support business aims. 

WHO YOU ARE 

We are looking for people with… 

• A legal degree. 

• 3–5 years of legal experience, ideally with experience in civil law, particularly real estate, leasing and/or consumer law. 

• Experience in coaching, supporting, and inspiring team members.

• Strong communicators, both written and verbal, comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders. 

• Skilled in risk assessment and articulating consequences to decision‑makers. 

• Confident in making decisions in ambiguous situations and under tight timelines. 

• Structured, analytical, and detail oriented. 

JOIN US​ 

This is a part-time (30-35 hours/week) position based in Vienna, with a fixed-term contract running until the end of February 2028. 

Your gross salary depends on the agreed weekly working hours and is based on a full-time salary starting at EUR 5464 gross per month, paid 14 times per year. 

Start Date: as soon as possible.
