RELYzIT Talent is assembling a high-impact team of four elite Asset Management Experts for a mission-critical project with our client’s Office of the CISO. Our client’s information security posture depends on a robust, transparent, and actionable asset management process. As an Asset Management Expert, you will provide an objective, expert-driven assessment of the current state, identify critical risks, and deliver a substantiated improvement roadmap. Your work will directly influence the organization’s ability to safeguard its assets, comply with ISO 27001, and mitigate cyber threats. The stakes are high: your insights will empower the CISO and leadership to make informed, strategic decisions that protect vital infrastructure and data.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Conduct a comprehensive assessment of current asset management practices across IT, OT, and informational domains.


• Evaluate existing asset registers, CMDBs, and discovery tools for completeness, accuracy, and relevance.


• Organize and lead interviews and workshops with key stakeholders, including IT infrastructure, application management, and security teams.


• Identify and analyze gaps against ISO 27001 Annex A, CyFun, and NIST standards for asset management.


• Perform risk analysis and prioritize issues related to unmanaged, obsolete, or poorly documented assets.


• Develop a concrete, actionable improvement plan for asset discovery, classification, and lifecycle management.


• Deliver clear, executive-level reporting and recommendations to the CISO and management.


• Ensure effective knowledge transfer to the CISO team at the conclusion of the mission.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven expertise in asset management, including inventory, classification, ownership, and lifecycle management.


• Deep experience with CMDB and asset discovery tools (e.g., ServiceNow, Lansweeper, Tanium, or equivalent).


• Strong knowledge of IT, cloud, and OT asset management, including shadow IT detection.


• Demonstrated ability to benchmark against ISO 27001 Annex A (5.9-5.14), CyFun, and NIST SP 800-53 frameworks.


• Exceptional risk analysis skills, especially regarding unmanaged, obsolete, or unpatched assets.


• Authoritative consulting experience under broad direction (SFIA level 5 – Ensure, advise).


• Autonomous, impact-driven mindset with a track record of delivering results in short-term, high-stakes missions.


• Clear, persuasive communicator able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.

Technical Skills & Tools

• Asset management methodologies and best practices


• CMDB and asset discovery tools (ServiceNow, Lansweeper, Tanium, or similar)


• Cloud and OT asset management


• Shadow IT detection and mitigation


• Risk analysis and prioritization frameworks


• ISO 27001 Annex A, CyFun, NIST SP 800-53


• Executive-level reporting and presentation

Language Proficiency

• Dutch or French required


• Bilingualism (Dutch/French) is a strong asset


• English required

Other Requirements

• Master’s degree or equivalent through confirmed relevant experience


• Relevant certifications are an asset (e.g., ISO 27001 Lead Auditor/Implementer, CISM, CDPSE)


• Freelance availability for a full-time, approximately 2-month mission


• Partial remote work; presence in Brussels as required


• Experience collaborating with CISO, IT infrastructure, and application management teams
