Cloud Native Development Engineer Senior

Our client is looking for an experienced Senior Cloud Native Development Engineer to support the development, enhancement, and maintenance of cloud -native applications within a complex enterprise environment.

The role focuses on building scalable and secure cloud solutions using Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Kubernetes, microservices, API integration, and container technologies. The consultant will work closely with development teams to deliver new capabilities, improve existing systems, support technical design activities, and ensure high -quality delivery across test and production environments.

Requirements

• Develop new cloud -native application capabilities using
Java, Spring Boot, AWS, Kubernetes, and related technologies.

• Work with microservices design, API integration, lambda,
and container technologies.

• Understand functional specifications and translate them
into technical implementation.

• Prepare and review technical designs and related
documentation.

• Write new code based on functional and technical
requirements.

• Modify and improve existing software for production use.

 • Create and execute
test cases, including unit tests and integration tests.

 • Conduct self -review
and peer code reviews.

• Review pull requests and ensure adherence to development
best practices.

 • Execute technical
integration testing with interfacing applications.

• Resolve assigned incidents and defects, and track them
through closure.

• Bring developed code to test environments and production.

• Support CI/CD pipeline setup and deployment activities.

 • Apply secure
development practices and contribute to secure development lifecycle
improvements.

• Work closely with developers and technical stakeholders in
an Agile environment.

 • Take ownership of
complex stories and multiple development tasks in parallel.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud software
development.

• Strong hands -on experience with Java development.

• Strong experience with Spring and Spring Boot.

• Experience with AWS cloud services.

• Experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.

• Strong knowledge of microservices design and API
integration.

• Experience with public cloud environments.

 • Ability to write
unit tests, integration tests, and define testing approaches.

• Experience with Git and pull request review processes.

 • Ability to write
and review technical designs.

 • Knowledge of secure
development practices and SAST tooling.

• Ability to set up basic CI/CD pipelines.

• Strong analytical thinking and problem -solving skills.
