Construction Site Manager Mechanical

TalenTailors is looking for a Construction Site Manager – Mechanical for our client D&T Group, an international engineering and contracting company expanding its operations across Europe to oversee the mechanical execution phase (HVAC and Sanitary trades) of a 19,000 m² mixed-use development (hotel, residential, office, and commercial) in Brussels. This role bridges the gap between design intent and site-level installation.

Location: Brussels, Belgium (On‑site)

Project Type: Mixed‑use construction & renovation

Duration: Approx. 20 months (project‑based)

Contract Type: Temporary or Freelance options available

Role & Responsibilities

• Manage the mechanical execution phase from design review to installation-ready documentation (Dossier EXE).
• Coordinate engineering workflows between our central design office and active site operations.
• Supervise on-site technical staff, draftsmen, and subcontractors to ensure safety, schedule compliance, and execution quality.
• Ensure full alignment with applicable European/Belgian building codes, local standards, and project specifications.
• Oversee cross-disciplinary coordination with Electrical, Structural, and Architectural teams to resolve interface clashes.
• Lead on-site testing, commissioning (FAT/SAT), and final system handover activities.

Required Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.Sc., M.Sc., or equivalent). 
• Strong background in mechanical building systems execution, including HVAC and sanitary systems across large-scale commercial, MEP, or renovation projects.
• Practical working knowledge of local building regulations and technical execution standards.
• Experience coordinating technical staff, managing subcontractor workflows, and tracking site progress.
• Professional proficiency in French and English; knowledge of Dutch is a strong asset.
• Familiarity with Belgian site safety and compliance frameworks (VCA-VOL, etc.).
