Cost Controller

Our Position

As a Cost Controller at Nitto Belgium, you will have a strong focus on production costs and SG&A. You act as a true business partner for various departments, supporting them in managing their costs within agreed margins. You provide clear financial insights and deliver accurate forecasts to support strategic decision-making.

In this role, you will also operate in an international context and collaborate closely with various sales offices across the group. You support them with financial analyses and insights, contributing to consistent reporting and performance across different regions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Analyzing budget variances and challenging or advising budget holders


• Identifying opportunities to optimize costs and implementing these improvements


• Actively contributing to the monthly closing process, with a focus on production costs and SG&A


• Reporting monthly group results and various KPIs


• Ensuring all processes comply with J-SOX and other internal control frameworks


• Translating complex financial data into clear and actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders

Your Profile

A strong Cost Controller meets the following criteria:

• Higher education degree in a financial field

• Preferably, you have initial experience as a controller or within audit


• Advanced knowledge of Excel; experience with SAP and Power BI is a strong asset


• Critical and proactive mindset; not afraid to challenge the status quo


• Strong communication skills and the ability to persuade


• Fluent in Dutch and English


• You take ownership and strive to bring tasks to a successful conclusion, even during busy periods


• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to separate key issues from less relevant details


• A team player who contributes to an open, constructive, and positive team atmosphere
