About the Role

RELYzIT Talent is seeking a Data Quality Analyst (Freelance) for a 5-month engagement in Brussels, Belgium. You will join a transformative Asset Information Management (AIM) program, driving the digital evolution of infrastructure management for our client. Your mission: elevate the quality, completeness, and reliability of asset data, enabling data-driven decision-making and lifecycle asset management. This is a freelance opportunity for a hands-on builder ready to shape the future of infrastructure through data excellence.

Why This Role Matters

Infrastructure is only as strong as the data that underpins it. As a Data Quality Analyst, you will be pivotal in ensuring that asset information is accurate, actionable, and aligned with industry standards (including OTL and BIM). Your work will directly impact the Directorate-General for Roads and Traffic’s journey toward a digital, information-driven government. By setting up robust data quality services, algorithms, and dashboards, you will empower stakeholders to make informed decisions, streamline asset management, and drive sector-wide standardization.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Evaluating and validating the quality of asset management data, ensuring alignment with OTL data standards and BIM methodologies.


• Designing and implementing data quality services, algorithms, and dashboards to monitor and enhance data integrity.


• Optimizing and tuning databases and queries (SQL, Oracle) for performance and reliability.


• Analyzing complex data streams to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and opportunities for improvement.


• Leading and executing data migration projects to improve data quality and completeness.


• Collaborating with data owners, business experts, and stakeholders to translate priorities into actionable deliverables.


• Providing pragmatic, hands-on support at both tactical and operational levels, from data analysis to stakeholder management.


• Advising and guiding stakeholders on strategy, organization, and IT issues related to asset information management.


• Contributing to change management initiatives, supporting the adoption of new data-driven processes and standards.

Technical Skills & Experience

• Demonstrable experience in optimizing and tuning databases and queries (SQL, Oracle) – Junior level (Must have)


• Experience analyzing data streams – Junior level (Must have)


• Experience with reporting and dashboarding tools (Must have)


• Proficiency in scripting languages: Shell, Perl, Python (Should have)


• Experience with FME (Feature Manipulation Engine) – Junior level (Should have)


• Experience with UML (Object-Oriented Analysis and Design) – Junior level (Should have)


• Knowledge of AQL (ArangoDB Query Language) – Junior level (Should have)


• Experience in infrastructure and road works (Should have)


• Experience advising and guiding customers on strategy, organization, and IT issues – Junior level (Should have)


• Experience with Asset Management or Asset Information Management – Junior level (Should have)

Language Proficiency

• Fluency in Dutch at European CEFR level C2 (Must have)
