About the Role

Our client is seeking a Senior Enterprise Architect (Information Architecture) for a high-impact, freelance mission in Brussels. This is your opportunity to architect and optimize complex information and data landscapes, shaping the digital backbone of a leading organization. You’ll define and drive data strategies that align with business vision, ensuring integrity, scalability, and innovation at every step. This is a freelance position for an initial duration of 4 months, with the possibility of renewal.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing, managing, and optimizing the organization’s information and data architecture


• Defining and implementing data strategies aligned with business objectives and vision


• Establishing and enforcing standards for data governance, integrity, and scalability


• Translating stakeholder needs into actionable architectural roadmaps and clear documentation


• Ensuring all information/data models are accessible and understandable for diverse stakeholders


• Driving innovation by integrating new technologies and advanced data analytics tools


• Maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices


• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver impactful, future-ready solutions

What We’re Looking For

• Proven expertise in Enterprise Architecture, with a focus on information and data domains


• Mastery of ArchiMate for modeling complex architectures


• Deep experience in business and operations modeling


• Strong ownership mindset and a passion for solving complex problems


• Ability to translate business needs into robust, scalable architectural solutions


• Clear, concise communicator with a talent for documentation and stakeholder engagement


• Innovative thinker, eager to leverage new technologies and methodologies


• Experience working in partial remote/hybrid environments


• Senior-level experience in similar roles

Technical Skills

• ArchiMate (Expert)


• Enterprise Architecture frameworks and methodologies


• Business and Operations Modeling (Expert)


• Data governance, data integrity, and compliance best practices


• Familiarity with modern data analytics tools and technologies

Language Proficiency

• Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) is required


• Additional language skills (French or Dutch) are a plus

Other Requirements

• Freelance availability for an initial 4-month mission, with potential for renewal (up to 880 working days total)


• Partial remote work; presence in Brussels as required


• Eligible to work in Belgium


• Experience in regulated environments is an advantage
