Function: Corporate Affairs 


(Sub)Department: Global Government and Public Affairs (GGPA) 


Location: Brussels, Belgium


Fulltime: 40 hours per week

The purpose of this role within the Corporate Affairs function is to shape an Optimal Business Climate in the EU, improve HEINEKEN’s reputation as Europe’s leading brewer and a trusted company in policy development, build and activate a strong EU stakeholder network, tell compelling stories and advocate for policy outcomes that support the business.


 


 


Roles & Responsibilities: 




  • Drive EU stakeholder engagement and advocacy towards EU institutions and build Dutch connectivity in Brussels, maintaining and developing a broad network through activeengagement and outreach​




  • Lead advocacy and campaigning with EU institutions and stakeholders on relevant policy developments ​




  • Drive consistent and engaging advocacy, storytelling and stakeholder engagement to improve awareness and improve the reputation of HEINEKEN particularly through communicating our economic impact and Brew a Better World achievements​




  • Political outreach in EU capitals: support EU region to activate communication and campaigning activities at national level in support of desired European outcomes​




  • Support the EU Regulatory Affairs Manager to monitor relevant EU policy, regulatory, andlegislative developments, bringing intelligence and insights from stakeholder networks​




  • Ensure alignment of EU policy positions with global policy, in close coordination with the Global Public and Government Affairs team and the EU Public Policy Manager ​




  • Represent HEINEKEN at selected trade associations/ platforms / groups (in coordination with Regional Corporate Affairs Director, Global Government Affairs Director and EU AffairsManager). ​




 


Experience & profile (What & How):


 



What:​





  • Education: University level (preferably in Political Science,Law, International Relations, Public Policy or related fields)​




  • Work experience: 10+ years.​




  • Required work experience in field of expertise:communications and public affairs, ideally EU focused andwith experience of working for EU institutions or in roles withclose proximity and regular engagement, relevant andcurrent network in Brussels​




  • Functional skills: Strong communication and advocacy skills;strong written communication and presentation skills;experience with IT systems, Microsoft Office​




  • Languages: English (professional), other European languagesa plus​
