We are looking for a talented and motivated  Biomanufacturing Manager - Upstream to join our Belgium Biomanufacturing Operations Center in Braine-L’Alleud, Belgium.

About the role :

You will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing operations within a biopharmaceutical production environment. You will ensure production runs efficiently, safely, and in compliance with regulatory standards while fostering continuous improvement and team development. You will play a key role in delivering production targets, maintaining quality standards, and building a strong, engaged team.

Who you’ll work with :

You will be working in a team that collaborates closely with production teams, quality specialists, supply chain, technical services, and human resources. You will lead team leaders and technicians while partnering with cross-functional experts to ensure smooth, compliant, and efficient manufacturing operations.

What you’ll do :

• Ensure safe, compliant, and efficient execution of manufacturing operations aligned with quality, safety, and production targets


• Lead and support team leaders and technicians, promoting collaboration, development, and continuous improvement


• Monitor production performance, analyze results, and implement corrective actions when needed


• Oversee equipment readiness with technical teams, including maintenance, qualification, and calibration


• Manage deviations, investigations, and corrective actions to ensure regulatory compliance


• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and support audits and inspections

Interested ? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills :

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in science, engineering, or related field


• Proven experience (10+ years) in biopharmaceutical manufacturing


• Experience in leading production teams in a regulated environment (including executive-level staff), high leadership skills


• Strong knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and industrial production processes and technologies


• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills


• Ability to work in highly dynamic environment and to handle challenging situations


• Fluent in French and English
