Job Description - Marine and Island Coordinator Watch service (MIC Watch)
We ARE looking for a Marine and Island Coordinator Watch for one of our clients on-going project.
The Marine & Island Coordinator Watch (MIC Watch) will be part of the Marine & Island Coordination Team, and the function will be based in Belgium. You will support the Marine & Island Coordination Team in the execution of daily coordination activities for offshore and island operations.
The team consists of:
Marine & Island Coordinator Lead (MIC Lead)
Marine & Island Coordinator Assistant (MIC Assistant)
Marine & Island Coordinator Watch (MIC Watch)
As a key member of the MIC team, you will provide essential administrative and coordination support to the MIC Lead, facilitating the day-to-day management of marine and island activities for this Island Project. In this role, you will liaise with Package Managers, HSE, and contractors to coordinate vessel/personnel movements, while maintaining operational planning and data integrity through the Offsharecoordination system.
Tasks & Responsibilities:
Support the team with the daily Marine & Island Coordination activities.
Maintain and update operational data within the Marine & Island Coordination software system (Offshare).
Ensure vessel and personnel registrations are correctly entered and maintained in the system.
Monitor incoming information from contractors and verify completeness of submitted documentation.
Support the planning and coordination of vessel movements and personnel transfers to and from offshore project sites.
Support the administration of permits, access and vessel approvals.
Participate in daily coordination meetings and maintain meeting minutes and action logs.
Escalate inconsistencies, deviations or operational concerns to the MIC team.
Ensure accurate and timely administration of operational information in the MIC software platform.
When required, you will provide support for the yard in Belgium.
Requirements / Your Profile:
Experience in an administrative, logistics, maritime or operational coordination environment.
Strong administrative and organizational skills.
Ability to work in a structured and systematic manner.
Good understanding of logistics and operational processes.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Team-oriented mindset with a proactive attitude.
Quick learner with the ability to adapt to new systems and procedures.
Languages: Fluent in English and Dutch (MANDATORY)
EU Passport holder (MANDATORY)
Location: Belgium (exact location will be shared only with interested applicants)
Contract type: Freelance / Self-Employed
Start and end date: 21/09/2026 - 31/12/2027 (1 year contract for starters - with extension)
