About the Role

RELYzIT Talent is seeking a Medior Project Manager to lead the implementation of ISO27001, NIS2, and associated initiatives for our client, a digital transformation leader in the public sector. This freelance assignment is based in Brussels, Belgium, for 11 months. You will drive the operationalization of critical compliance and information management projects, ensuring our client is audit-ready and future-proof. What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and coordinate the implementation of ISO27001 and NIS2 compliance initiatives, focusing on operational deliverables such as procedures, controls, and evidence collection.


• Oversee sub-projects in Information and Document Management and Microsoft Purview, ensuring timely documentation and process updates in line with NIS2 legislation.


• Motivate and monitor cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, audit-ready documentation and process changes.


• Apply advanced project management techniques to manage risk, issues, scope, time, budget, and quality for projects exceeding 1 million euros.


• Utilize MS Project and MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel) to track progress, report outcomes, and communicate with stakeholders.


• Ensure alignment with ITIL best practices and leverage knowledge of the Cyberfundamentals (Cyfun) framework.


• Drive continuous improvement in information and document management processes, supporting the client’s digital transformation goals.


• Report to senior leadership on project milestones, risks, and compliance status, ensuring transparency and accountability.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Project Manager in infrastructure or development projects, with a track record of delivering medium to large-scale projects (minimum 1 million euros).


• Demonstrable experience managing projects across time, scope, budget, and quality dimensions.


• Hands-on experience with ISO27001 implementation and a strong understanding of NIS2 requirements.


• Certification in project management methodologies (e.g., Prince2, PMBok), preferably demonstrated by official certification.


• ISO 27001 Lead Implementer certificate (must be uploaded with your application).


• Experience with project management tools and techniques, including risk and issue management.


• Knowledge and experience with ITIL processes and terminology.


• Familiarity with the Cyberfundamentals (Cyfun) framework.


• Experience in information and document management, including the use of Microsoft Purview.


• Advanced proficiency in MS Project and MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel).


• Ability to motivate, monitor, and coordinate multidisciplinary teams in a complex, high-stakes environment.


• Ownership mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a relentless focus on outcomes and impact.

Language Proficiency

• Fluency in Dutch at European CEFR level C2 is mandatory.
