Salary - €90,000-€110,000 + allowances


About the Role


We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day delivery of complex construction and technical projects.


The ideal candidate will have experience working on data centre construction projects, integrated security projects, electrical construction projects, or a combination of these environments.


You will be responsible for managing project delivery from planning through to completion, working closely with clients, contractors, subcontractors, design teams and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, on time and within budget.


Projects may range from $500K to $10M+, so strong commercial awareness, project planning and problem-solving skills are essential.


Key Responsibilities



  • Manage the day-to-day operations of a project or defined section of a project.

  • Develop project plans, priorities and objectives to ensure successful delivery.

  • Coordinate project activities and manage resources, programmes and deadlines.

  • Identify, price, track and manage change orders / variations through to resolution.

  • Monitor project costs and cash flow against planned expenditure.

  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including as-built drawings and project records.

  • Document project issues, site conditions, changes and agreed actions.

  • Plan and manage project completion, commissioning and punch list / snagging activities.

  • Read and interpret contract drawings, blueprints, specifications and technical documentation.

  • Research and compile technical submittals for project approval.

  • Prepare pricing and estimates for change orders and partially designed projects.

  • Review project requirements and complete design information where required to develop accurate project estimates.

  • Work closely with supervisory personnel, owners, contractors, design professionals and other project stakeholders.

  • Resolve construction issues, work procedure queries, complaints and project-related problems.

  • Manage and respond to RFIs (Requests for Information) and ensure decisions are made within required project timescales.

  • Ensure verbal discussions, agreements and project decisions are properly documented.

  • Represent the organisation professionally when dealing with customers, clients, contractors, government representatives and other external stakeholders.

  • Monitor project progress and ensure key milestones and deliverables are achieved.

  • Coordinate project activities with construction, engineering, design and subcontractor teams.

  • Ensure project documentation is maintained accurately throughout the project lifecycle.


Experience Required



  • 5+ years' relevant construction or project management experience, ideally working for an electrical or construction contractor.

  • Proven experience delivering projects valued between $500,000 and $10M+.

  • Experience working within data centre construction, integrated security, electrical construction or technical building services.

  • Candidates with experience across both data centre construction and integrated security projects are particularly relevant.

  • Strong understanding of contract drawings, specifications, subcontracts and contract addendums.

  • Experience managing change orders, RFIs, submittals and project documentation.

  • Experience with CPM scheduling.

  • Strong understanding of construction processes and project delivery.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints and project specifications.

  • Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project costs and financial performance.

  • Proven ability to plan, organise and prioritise your own workload and the activities of others.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with clients, contractors, subcontractors and design teams.

  • A proactive problem-owner / problem-solver approach.

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Bluebeam and PDF software.


Education



  • Bachelor's degree preferred, ideally in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering or a related discipline.

  • Equivalent relevant industry experience may also be considered.


Desirable Skills & Experience



  • Experience with Accubid or equivalent electrical estimating software.

  • Experience estimating electrical installations.

  • Proficiency with Primavera P6 or equivalent CPM scheduling software.

  • Experience working on mission-critical or data centre projects.

  • Experience delivering integrated security systems within large-scale construction projects.

  • Experience working within electrical, security, MEP or specialist construction environments.

  • Willingness and ability to travel to project locations as required.

The Ideal Candidate


The successful candidate will be an experienced Project Manager / Construction Project Manager who is comfortable working in complex, fast-paced project environments.


You may come from a data centre construction, electrical construction, integrated security or specialist systems background and will have a strong understanding of how large-scale projects are planned, managed and delivered.


You will be confident dealing with clients, contractors, subcontractors and design professionals, while taking ownership of project issues and driving them through to resolution.


Candidates with either data centre construction experience, integrated security project management experience, or experience across both areas are encouraged to apply.
