What impact will you have as People Lead at NN?

As a People Lead in IT Delivery, you will be a leader within a matrix organisation, where you will take charge of several teams. These teams are made up of both in-house staff, as well as external consultants. You will be fully committed to the growth support and coaching of the people you work with.

You will also be responsible for the “resource pool management” of your teams. You will look for the best match between the skill, growth and expertise of your employees and the needs of different domains. For instance, you will support the Domain IT leads who are responsible for delivery and the scrum masters who are accountable for the day-to-day operational management of the various scrum teams.

• You will encourage the potential of your co-workers in a way that is motivating and that provides coaching. You will be involved proactively with their professional and personal development.

• In addition to coaching, guiding and developing the people you work with, you will also conduct periodic performance and assessment reviews with your team members.

• You will manage the team budget, keeping a sharp eye on efficient spending, reducing costs and setting priorities.

• You will have responsibility for the resource pool management of your teams.

• You will have a range of contacts with external suppliers, so that you can establish new collaborative arrangements or maintain and improve existing ones.

• In addition to your own teams, you will work closely with the various Domain IT Leads and scrum masters.

• Once you have settled in, there will be opportunities to take part in other projects.

• As a manager, you will pass on the values of NN to your staff and colleagues.

You will work closely with your 3 fellow People Lead and report to the IT Manager.

You are unique. And we are looking for a unique team leader!

Coaching and people management in an IT environment are what drive you. You will preferably have a minimum of 3 years’ experience. You have a transparent – and constructive way of communicating. Providing feedback and working constructively with others come naturally to you. You also possess the skill to listen objectively and you have the ability to distinguish between what is important and what is not.

• Experience with agile methodology would be a plus.

• You are empathetic and people-focused.

• You have strong organizational skills, are able to maintain an overview of what is going on and can see the possible future consequences of actions.

• You have an open mindset: you are able to deal with change and are broad-minded.

• You deal with the interests of the teams and the different domains in a proactive and motivating way.

• As People Lead, you will speak with your colleagues in Dutch and French. Communication/documentation within IT is carried out mainly in English.
