Do you want to help us build the DNA of tech.?  Vishay Resistors Belgium is currently seeking applicants for an Automation Process Engineer. You’ll be part of an enthusiastic team of experienced R&D engineers. Your role will be a point of contact for customers looking to design-in the right product that will shape the future.

Job Location:

Vishay Resistors Belgium is located in Evere (Brussels) and is a full part of Vishay Intertechnology since 2002. This location has a strong competence in developing and producing ceramic thermistors (temperature sensitive electronic component). In addition, several departments with worldwide responsibilities and interactions are located on site.

What you will be doing:

• Combine process engineering & programming to automate our data capturing retrieving data from MES.
• Develop & Maintain:
  • DataBases (SQL-server and MS Access)
  • PC-based desktop app’s (programming environment VB.NET)
  • Machine communications (Serial (RS232 & RS485), TCP/IP, ...)
• Collaborate with various departments (Engineering, R&D, Operations, Production, ...) from start to finish
• Work with production processes and understand human nature to avoid faulty data capturing of the process.
• Work towards Continuously Improving in all areas of responsibility.
• Prepare required documentation both at the program level and user level and maintain records to document revisions.

What you will bring along:

• Master’s in engineering with focus on automation or electronics or bachelor with minimum 3 years of experience in programming, preferably VB.NET
• Preferably 2+ years of experience in working with Microsoft .NET environment
• Knowledge in programming and statistical techniques
• SQL querying knowledge is a plus
• Fluent in English and in Dutch or French
• Communication and social skills
• Strong Problem-Solving & team player abilities
• Willingness to learn and work in an international team
