What You’ll Be Doing

• Lead and coordinate OT cybersecurity programs across complex industrial environments, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements.


• Develop, implement, and optimize cybersecurity strategies, policies, and frameworks tailored to OT and industrial automation systems.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, IT, and operations, to identify vulnerabilities and drive remediation initiatives.


• Oversee risk assessments, threat modeling, and incident response planning for OT networks and assets.


• Champion best practices in OT security architecture, network segmentation, and secure integration of legacy and modern systems.


• Monitor evolving threats and regulatory changes, proactively adapting security postures and controls.


• Report on program progress, risks, and outcomes to senior stakeholders, translating technical insights into actionable business recommendations.


• Foster a culture of security awareness and continuous improvement within multidisciplinary teams.

What We’re Looking For

• Proven ownership mindset with a passion for building secure, resilient OT environments.


• Expertise in industrial automation or industrial networks, with over 7 years of hands-on experience.


• Confirmed experience (2-4 years minimum) in OT cybersecurity, including program management and technical leadership.


• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to drive outcomes in complex, high-stakes environments.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities, with a talent for translating technical concepts into business value.


• Builder-first attitude: you thrive in environments where innovation, collaboration, and impact are valued above all.

Technical Skills & Requirements

• Deep knowledge of OT cybersecurity standards and frameworks (e.g., IEC 62443, NIST, ISO 27001).


• Hands-on experience with industrial control systems (ICS), SCADA, DCS, and PLC environments.


• Proficiency in network security, segmentation, and monitoring within OT/industrial contexts.


• Familiarity with risk assessment methodologies, vulnerability management, and incident response in OT settings.


• Experience with project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum or similar) in technical environments.


• Ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and external partners.

Language Proficiency

• Fluency in English is required.


• Knowledge of Dutch and/or French is a strong advantage.

Other Requirements

• This is a freelance position with a fixed-term contract (2 months), with the possibility of a permanent role upon successful completion.


• Availability to work on-site in Brussels, Belgium, with potential travel to client sites in the Kempen and West Flanders regions.
